This resonated with me this morning:
"Awareness is the lever that allows you to consciously redesign your identity." — John Sanei
For a long time, I believed entrepreneurship was about building products.
Today, I believe it's about building awareness.
Awareness is what allows us to see beyond our assumptions, question our certainties, and notice what others overlook. It gives us the freedom to consciously reinvent ourselves—and everything we create.
Looking back, every major turning point in my life and career started with awareness.
The awareness that grief had shaped the way I saw the world.
The awareness that success doesn't come from building more, but from solving the right problem. The awareness that listening is far more valuable than defending an idea you've already fallen in love with.
That is exactly what happened with Allurene.
What started as a minimalist skincare brand is evolving into something much more intentional. We are rethinking skincare through the lens of cognitive ease and sensory comfort, creating products that reduce complexity, remove unnecessary friction, and make self-care feel effortless.
Awareness changed the questions we ask before we develop a product.
Instead of asking, "What ingredient should we add?" we ask, "What burden can we remove?"
Instead of adding another step, we look for ways to simplify the experience.
Because sometimes the greatest innovation isn't adding more. It's creating less friction.
The products are changing because I changed.
The business is evolving because my understanding of people evolved.
Every new level of awareness asks us to let go of an old identity. As founders, that can be uncomfortable. But it's also where the most meaningful innovation begins.
We don't build better products because we know more.
We build better products because we see differently.
